    DIY home electrical ?

I'm trying to put in a couple of smart switches that require the nuetral. My existing switches don't use it. What I see behind this jumbled mess is a wire bundle for the hot that looks to be shared by all 3 switches. It looks to me like the hot side and load wire bundles all have the nuetral wire there. The ones on the load bundles are all capped with a single wire nut. The hot side is shared by all 3 switches and I think there is also a nuetral in that bundle, all wire nut capped together.

So the new switch has a white nuetral pigtail and the diagram show it twisted up with a nuetral from the hot and load bundles. So how do I do this without hosing up what is working now?

If you see a bundle of white wires tied under one wire nut that will be your neutral.

Yes, I have that but from what I could tell that is the 3 nuetrals leading off to the lights. I thought what I had coming from the hot side was the hot (black) and nuetral (white) in the same wire nut twisted up with the hot wires to each of 3 switches. Does that make sense? Maybe I was seeing it wrong. Had to button it all back up to leave so I'll mess with it later.

You need to be very careful breaking neutrals loose under the right circumstances they will shock you like you have never been shocked

Here is what I think I have now. Can I pull that neutral from the hot side and tie it in with the load sides and the new white wire in my new switch?

How is there a neutral and hot tied together and not trip a breaker?

That is my question too. I must be seeing it wrong right?

I’m an idiot. All the nuetrals were together.
