Yes, the homeless are very much visible in downtown Austin but the homeless are EXTREMELY visible in metro San Fran and have been for decades upon decades. 
I have faith that the governor will continue to clean it up.

Yep. Anyone who thinks it's "close" hasn't been to SF. Even the people who live their...the ones in dwellings...hate it. The homeless run the town. The police don't hassle them. Our Uber driver caught a guy busting out his window in the middle of the night and called the cops...they wrote him a ticket and sent him on his way. There are entire really trendy neighborhoods that tourists are now told to avoid. Every time you pay your check at a restaurant, your assessed a surcharge to help pay for the healthcare of the homeless. They passed a Homeless Tax that assesses taxes on businesses to help pay for the homeless.
