Pretty ignorant statement, confirming you know NOTHING about his football background.

His father and 2 older brothers both played football at Nebraska. Kid dreamed of playing in Lincoln and following the family cornhusker tradition.
Joe was Mr. Ohio Football, the absolute best player and QB in a very football-rich state. Nebraska never even recruited him or offered him a scholarship.

Joe signed with tOSU to prove Nebraska wrong and to win a NC. Backed up JT Barrett and was the 2nd string QB when he broke his leg. Due to injury, he got bumped down to 3rd string QB and tOSU coaches started Dwayne Haskins. Joe saw the writing on the wall and transferred to LSU with an opportunity to win a NC. Joe is 6'4" 215 lbs and runs a 4.7 . Very cerebral, coach's son, and plays with a chip on his shoulder. Call him arrogant if you want, but he plays with moxie and he walks the walk and talks the talk .

The kid just went 31 of 39 (79.5%) for 393 yds, 3 TD's 0 INT's ... 14 rushes 64 yds vs. a Nick Saban team that had 2 weeks to prepare for Burrow and the LSU offense.

Great background on Joe. Love that guy. Really glad he got the extra passing strategy help when LSU hired Joe Brady from the Saints. Still, Burrow has the heart and puts in the work -- went out to LA to work with Tom House to improve his throwing technique. I kind of think BoB was kidding with his comment, but -- either way -- Joe is a great athlete and leader at the right time for LSU.
