So my target buck comes in this morning and offers me a shot at 10 yards. As I was drawing my bow the nock separates from the arrow and the arrow drops to the ground. Man he blew out of here like somebody lit his *** on fire. I'm just sitting here now sick to my stomach going WHY? WHY? WHY? My nocks never come out. Why of all the moments that could have happened did it have to happen now???????

In all honesty though I had an awesome morning. I actually had both my target bucks come in. The first is a big eight I've been watching for some time now. He came in really early on my right hand side and slowly moved around behind me. Unfortunately I don't hunt in a swivel seat so I didn't want to risk standing up to get in position for a shot for fear I might spook him. He then melted off into the trees. I tried grunting to bring him back but he wanted nothing to do with it. The second buck came in about 45 minutes later following a group of does. He's a big ten with split G2s. After my arrow hit the ground the does came back but he never did.

I was hunting in Kansas once, when a 190in deer walked right under me. I had just shot 20 (or so) arrows right before getting in the stand. Anyways, I kept trying to draw and I couldn’t draw. After a few minutes the buck walked off and was never seen again. After further investigation a cam screw had backed out and was colliding with the limbs.
I get it... 10 years later I still think about that and tighten everything on my bow often and in fact carry all the allens in my pack.
