You won’t find anyone who overthinks purchases and gets buyers remorse worse than me! Having said that my Yoder is one of the best/most used purchases I have ever made. The ONLY way I would get rid of it would be to replace it with he new Yoder that has WiFi.

Ill say this. I have been a long time stick burner only guy. I always viewed pellet smokers as cheating and more like cooking in an oven. With our crazy schedule these days I never have the time to commit to a 10-18 hour cook. If we were having brisket for a party I would be up at 1-4am getting a fire going so the timing would be right for dinner. By time people showed up I just wanted to go to bed. I broke down about a month ago and bought a Traeger. Hands down the best decision I have ever made. Its easy, reliable and I can leave the house for a few hours without worry of a temperature spike or drop. Is it cheating? Maybe. But my wife and kids don't complain about the good food coming off it.

Get a Rec Tech 700, sold my off set stick burner for it. Best thing I ever bought. Control it with my phone, and hands down best customer service in the country. Also a 6 year warranty!
