Thanks all! I know an attorney is the best route. But being out of state, no job, couch surfing, freeloading is making any legal proceedings difficult as he cannot even be served with the summons. Not that he would show up since he has no money.
She doesn't expect to get much if anything actually paid, it is more about custody rights/visitation, etc. and trying to tie off the legal loose ends so she can move on with her life. I hope we can convince her that keeping him out of my grandson's (and her) life is the best thing for all. She has been poisoned by all the media showing how wonderful co-parenting is. She forgets that it takes two parents that truly care about the kid to make that happen.
We will go the attorney route and find a way....
