We first saw this buck in 2018. He had a double main beam and 11 points. We named him "Digger" because he would paw the dirt looking for corn until every last kernel was gone. Early in the season he broke his extra beam completely off so we gave him a pass hoping he would make it through the season. Thankfully he survived.
Fast forward to this year he did not have the double main beam but, he had gained considerable weight, several points and great character. He was definitely on our hit list. He had been pretty much nocturnal so Hubby was really surprised when he walked in at 7:00 p.m. last Tuesday. He went straight to the protein feeder 20 yards from the blind. The rest is history and Hubby couldn't be happier.
I don't know how much he weighed but he had a layer of fat that was unreal. He had 15 scorable points and green scored 164 1/8. Good job Doug!!
