Southside in Cherokee is petty dang good. Its better than cooper and Reasonable priced as well. Super laid back and the folks are super nice.

AMEN! I've not tried any BBQ that I prefer over Hutchins in McKinney. All of their side dishes are just as awesome. Everything there is topnotch.

Hutchins! Hands down. They do the Red Dirt BBQ festival in Tyler every year and every year they are the best! Texas Twinkies will make you happy!~

As someone has said, with the new Texas BBQ revolution that started a few years back there is quality brisket all over the place. When I fire up my pit these days I cook lean healthy meats. Rarely cook brisket anymore. Between the BBQ trailer in Wimberley and 3 great spots in San Marcos it's too easy to grab lunch real quick. Heck even Dallas and Houston have quality brisket at a few spots which used to not be the case.

For brisket once you get it to top quality it's hard to make it any better so saying one place is definitely the best is silly.

Maybe not the best but it was come so far in the last two years. Ten50 BBQ Richardson. Great brisket and ribs. Three finger pork chop on Tuesdays!

Too many favorite BBQ joints to pick just one but Valentina's Tex Mex BBQ is a trailer about a mile down the street from my house and its some pretty dang good stuff. Anyone close to the south Austin area that hasn't tried it is thoroughly missing out.

Don't be afraid to swing by for breakfast either. They wont be the cheapest breakfast tacos by any means but I have never had a better breakfast taco anywhere else.

I used to live about a mile from ten50. The wife and I went once not too long after they opened up and it was not good. It wasn’t even ok. Haven’t been back since.

For those that are saying "I make the best BBQ", I guess we can all come over and eat at your house?
