    Mule Pro FXT Trailer whistle

I just bought a mule pro FXT with the front vented Fortress windshield and the metal fortress roof. When i am pulling it there is a very loud whistle from the mule. Has anyone had this with theirs? I am wondering if it is a normal thing? I am tempted to trailer it backwards but not sure how the windshield would do. Any help would be great!

A buddy of mine has a mule with the metal top and glass windshield & his does the same while being towed. We were kinda thinking the whistle was coming from the top where the light bar is mounted but not 100% sure.

Yeah that is my thoughts as well. Is his light bar on the front angle partof the roof or mounted on the top? There was a gap between the windshield and roof so i slid it up as tight as i could hoping that was it but still no luck. Thinking about getting a buddy to ride it in down the road to see where it is whistling lol

Turn up your radio so you can’t hear it.

Do you have a light bar on your mule? If so, that is where the whistling is coming from. It is a known fact that the heat sink fins on light bars whistle pretty bad at higher speeds. They make isolators that are supposed to help with the resonance.

If you have the plastic roof, you will loose the back half pulling it backwards

Its a full metal roof so i think the roof would be fine. Its just the full glass windshield catching air from behind that i worry about.

Anyone trailer their mule backwards with this windshield?

I had this happen, there was a small gap between my light bar and roof. That's where the whistle comes from. I took some pipe insulation and cut it in half and stuffed it in the gap. Fixed the issue with the whistle on the hwy.

Tyrex, was your light bar mounted like mine in the pic above?

Jeeps are notorious for whistling at high speed when you have a light bar on. That would be my guess.

My buddy’s whistles running down the road. The light bar is what everyone thinks.
