Rendon will get a contract similar to Cole.

Perhaps the club values a top end bat more than a top end arm. If that’s the case signing Rendon while trading Correa for prospects makes plenty of sense.

                Your logic makes no sense.

                        Had to edit it huh?

Cole will not get 300 mil. All projections keep that in mind GM

My bet is they will be within 30 mil, which is similar money to me in baseball contracts

It makes sense if you think they aren't signing Cole because of the money.

We are not getting Cole or Rendon, though it would obviously be nice.

We'd be selling way low on Correa right now, guy can play at a high AS caliber when healthy and we have two more years of control which coincides with final two years of Greinke and Verlander control

I watched every game Bregman played at SS and the dropoff from him to Corea is massive IMO. My guess is advanced metrics showed Bregs to be well below league normal defensively at SS

I'd love to see them sign Grandal to join Chirinos who'd remain around as JV's personal catcher

The one I'm really torn on is Springer. I have such an emotional attachment to that guy, but giving what will be an aging slugger a long term contract doesn't seem consistent with Luhnow's world view.

Worried about Yuli tailing off at his age and also Verlander and Greinke being one year older.

Key's to season next year IMO are will LMJ be able to perform as a strong third starter and if Whitley can join us after AS break having finally lived up to the hype.
