You shoot a buck and it is replaced the next spring. Shoot a doe and you actually reduce the reproductive ability of the herd.

He is replaced some years but not all year. That varies also but yes killing does is the best way to thin the heard... Every doe I have seen this year has 2 fawns which is rare for my lease.. The number of mouths to feed just exploded..
