    Side by side ideas needed

So I am looking for ideas for a winch type thing to build that will help to load animals in the back of my ranger. It can be a real challenge to get a mature axis buck in the back even with two people. I was thinking something to maybe mount in the receiver hitch, maybe a bed/roof mount but I am open to all ideas. If you have something you have built or know someone who has a good way for one person to load large heavy animals post them up for all to see.

This works if you have a tree or another buggy or truck to hook up to.

Mount a pulley on your roll bar, run a rope through it. Tie one end of the rope around the deer's neck/rear legs tie the other end to a stationary object. tilt your bed tail gate down. Pull your side by side forward and the deer will be pulled up into the bed.

Tagged for ideas. I like that pulley system.

I have an extra 3500lb winch laying around and I'm wanting to rig up something for my jeep cherokee xj. Not any good mounting points on the back of the jeep except the hitch though

The Ox Rack is designed to load your deer, pig, or other game onto your UTV with the press of a button. It's a winch-assisted front game loader and rack that attaches easily to the front bumper of your UTV.

                Guys sware by it.

Use a regular hitch hoist. The kind you put in receiver hitch to hang deer for cleaning. Some of them even rotate

I had a steel roof on my Ranger with a nice overhang front and rear. I mounted a cheap Harbor Freight winch under the roof on the backside. Let the tailgate down, carry a piece of plywood in the bed for a ramp and you are golden. Mine had a remote so you could stand at the back to make sure nothing hung up. Unfortunately (or fortunately) I sold my Ranger to my son and I’m now the proud owner of a new Can Am with a plastic roof. Gonna remedy that though with a roof or a mount of some kind because I’m too old to be huffin’ a **** deer into that bed.

Just think how much easier this would be with the tailgate down...... and the bed dumped...... LOL

Some people just gotta do stuff the hard way
