    Went to O'Reilly and they let me try Goo Gone for automotive stickers and stuff. Works like a charm. He believed it might not be good for clear coat if left on there so I am immediately washing it after scrubbing with Goo Gone and microfiber towel.

    Word to the wise... Don't go into Bronte from the north or you will be in the same situation as me!! This is horrible!! Not sure why they aren't doing this one lane at a time. Put down rocks and tar on top of a perfectly fine highway. I am not in construction so I am guessing there is a good reason. But they should have done one lane at a time.

          If you know you are going through a bad area as the OP stated spray with Pam cooking spray. It will help make it much easier to remove tar and rubber.

              WD-40. Thats what we used to use to get tar off the boat from trash lines offshore.

                    Awesome is a cleaner sold in the dollar stores. It lives up to it's name. It's cheap and just works.
