I don't know exactly what happened, just that it involved propane.

Sorry to hear the bad news. It seems like every year something like this happens at a deer camp. I remember last year it was a propane heater depleting the oxygen in a closed up cabin. Now is a good time to check to see if everything is in good working condition. Prayers sent to family

The Red River County Sheriff’s Office has identified the three people killed in what they believe to be an accidental explosion at an underground bunker near Talco.

Not much more info, but it appears foul play has been ruled out, as has some of you *****' assumption that drug manufacturing was involved.

Very sad. I saw Perry Fetterolf's obit in the local paper. He was a retired marine with several kids/grandkids and lived near me. (I didn't know him) I wonder what the deal was with the so-called "bunker"?

Tragic & still puzzled by the underground bunker. We’re they actually staying/sleeping inside the bunker or utilizing as deer camp storage? Someone mentioned potentially propane involved. I could see that as a slow leak & trapped without good ventilation & all it takes is a flip of a switch, lighter ignited, etc
              Prayers for the families

Good ventilation doesn't matter, propane sinks. Learned that researching building a fire pit. So propane would settle to the lowest point. Sad deal for sure.

Yep. In the event of a gas leak, just stand up and get out. Do not crawl.
