I’m set up, but not in either of the 2 stands I wanted to be in. Wind is dead wrong for the tripod where the big framed deer was at yesterday morning. I got to the pop up where I had the encounter with the 4yo 10 a couple of weeks ago and coons have pulled the feeder plate down and drained all of the corn. I’m at a tripod in an oak mot up on the NW corner of the property. I’m not crazy about the set up and feel pretty exposed but it is what it is.
No clue whats using this feeder but it’s in a great spot. A big brush ridge breaks over into a nasty thick draw and feeds over to an oak flat to my east. This oak mot is the only real logical travel route between the draw and the flat. A buck don’t have to be world class to make me shoot but he’s gonna have to be pretty nice. I’d shoot an 8pt in the mid 130’s but really looking for a mid 140’s deer or better.
Temps in the low 70’s and wind is kicking pretty good Charlie. Supposed to get dumb cold on Saturday.
