I tracked for about 100 yards but he was plugged up so I lost the trail and couldn’t find it again when he crossed an open field so we decided to call a dog. They will be here at noon. Longest wait ever.

Trailed him 425 yards from where I last found blood and no luck. BUT without Courtney (Sika) and Rowdy we never would have made it that far and they gave it their ALL. Just too many deer in the area and not enough blood.

I’m guessing probably a higher than I thought shot and he will live to see another day or he was COMPLETELY plugged up and I will see buzzards today or tomorrow. Time will tell...

Sorry we couldn’t trail him up. First non-recovery I’ve had since December. I hate not finding one, especially for a TBHer. Those perfect shots always scare me. That and shots high in the body always seem to be the toughest tracks.
