As I mentioned in my post above my darn CEL stays on all the time. I never had a single problem with this truck when I was just using the regular blue box DEF fuel. I was coming home from the deer lease last month and stopped at a truck stop west of FT Worth and thought I’d top off the DEF fluid at the pump. First and ONLY time I’ve done that. The dreaded P20BA code threw the very next day
I can get it to clear with a code reader but it normally comes back on within a day or 2 and stays on. BTW, this is in the obvious heat of 100°+ days. Truck is running fine but I’m awful leery of driving around with a CEL on all the time.
And I’ll obviously have to address it when time for inspection

I had the truck inspected a couple weeks ago at a Qwik Kar With the CEL light on. No issues, wasn’t mentioned, did not fail inspection.

Agree it might be an issue if I had it inspected at the dealership, they would have stuck their hand out and demand it be repaired before passing. I wouldn’t put it past them.

The next day the service advisor called me and told me not to return, because I didn't give them a 5 star review rating.

Anyways, I've been driving around this summer with the yellow check engine light on. The code roughly translates to something about the DEF heater failure.

Since it's about to get cold I figure its time to get this fixed.

Can anyone recommend a Ford shop, or an incredible independent shop that can take this on? I'm not much of a DYI person. Looking for something within a short Lyft ride, however if it is you and your shop I'll drive 60 miles to come out and meet you.

        FYI the code is P2043

please excuse brevity and dictation errors

Just found Ford warrantied some of these for 11 years or 125k miles effective last year. You might check.

Where was the review(Google, Facebook, ect?)?

I would be calling/emailing the area manager for Ford and salting the earth.
