Due to a rash of car break ins , mail theft and property theft since that idiot Austin mayor instilled camping anywhere for the homeless , I have installed 6 different cameras and although I have captured many criminal acts and vehicles , I still can`t identify a individual or auto positively . I even put up a trail camera and like the other cameras get some decent photos , just not enough . All the pictures that would show a license plate in day light , just show a reflective glare at night . I assume because of the IR reflecting off the auto plates . Anyone know of a camera that might take photos of auto plates at night without the glare ? I , (we) are getting so tired of this crap . I give all my photos and movie clips to the detective working the cases in the area , and although he really seems to appreciate them , says they just don`t make a positive identification tool . I don`t live in Austin city limits but seem to get much of their scum . Anybody have any suggestions that might help , I mean besides a 9mm ?

I have Lorex and Blink. They actually take pretty clear photos but in some locations it seems like it's too far to get good detail. One camera took a good video of a person in my wife's car that the detective said would be the one they could use. The trail cam was in a bush by the road and had it been daylight would have have taken a good picture of the car plates. I do not think they are HD cameras or 1080 resolution. I will try moving one of the Blink to a tree if it will connect to module. I hate to go to the expensive units , but there's a reason they are expensive
