    My first bow buck

I'm 23 years old and have been bowhunting for 12 of those years. Was 11 when I shot my first doe with a bow.

Four years later at 15 I shot my first buck with a bow! Been reminiscing this kill since its coming up on 8 years ago. Very lucky to have film of this hunt that my dad took. (He's the one who laughs like a maniac when the buck goes down)

Hope you can enjoy this video of a boy's first bow buck!

When was your first bow buck?

Last year on Christmas Day evening hunt. 18 yard shot, went less than that before he crashed. When I was cleaning him I found the broadhead completely cut the aorta off the heart. I started bow hunting last year, rifles just got boring.

Great video, you will remember that buck for the rest of your life. Congratulations on taking a very nice buck for your first with a bow. I was 28 when I shot my first bow buck and it was a mighty spike. I'll never forget the rush.

Congrats, and neat your dad got it on video. About 20 years ago I shot my first deer with a bow and it was a nice 11 pt. No video, but I remember it like it was yesterday.

                  Nice!

guess it been 8 years ago? opening bow season and first season ever to hunt in a tree stand. Got in the stand around 4pm that afternoon and had 5 bucks eating off the corn i just put down in front of me 30 min later. Had a great 8 pt with an eye kicker coming out but couldn't get a shot with all at 10 yds.
Later that evening about 40 min before last shot, i remember looking to my left down the creek and i see this head sticking out at about 45 yds with a huge rack. He followed a doe in to my hand corn and started eating. i thought to myself this deer has to score 140. Beautiful 9. I shot but not at a good angle and hit back a bit. We tracked that evening but no buck. Next day we saw buzzards and found him about 500 yds by another one of our stands near a creek. Grateful for the recovery. Scored 127. I did have a video camera then also on a limb but there was no way i even thought about trying to film when he came out just wanted to get a shot.
Until this day i still havn't shot another deer (just hogs) with my bow, but i love to bow hunt and watch the deer close. I would rather just video them now.

That trail cam picture of the shot is awesome! My first bow buck was when I was 13, fifteen seasons ago.
