Craftsman cordless tools made by Dewalt ???

I have owned two sets of the Craftsman tools since 2014. In the last several years I’ve bought a few DeWalt. The DeWalt seem to be a little beefier but the Craftsman tools still get the job done. If I used them every day all day long the DeWalt would be my choice. Most of the guys who built my house used DeWalt. Right now there is little difference in price between Craftsman and DeWalt but the Craftsman are more likely to be on sale.

Makita is the only company that is still independent and so is Hilti. I own all Makita stuff for my personal use except for the cordless grease gun and its a Dewalt.
Milwaukee has dominated the cordless line for a while now, they are very innovative and have expanded their line into the hand tool market as well. They have the best warranty on the market with 5 years on the tool and 3 years on the battery. Keep purchase receipts!
Had a customer last night trade in all his Snap on cordless for Milwaukee, I typically do not take cordless trade ins unless its Snap on, Makita, Matco, Mac or Milwaukee. I keep the Makita for my self.

I used to make the wire harnesses for Porter a long time ago before Stanley jumped in.

DeWalt is the commercial line of Black and Decker. I used to interchange batteries because the B&D were cheaper.
Surprised at the Makita guys, I have ruined every Makita I owned w/in weeks, especially switches/cords coming apart. But I used my stuff hard building traps full time for a while.

I do like that craftsman are made in america - they (B&D) are building a big factory in Fort Worth supposed to create 500+ jobs. I know some of the parts will be chinese though.
for me, i won't buy anything that doesnt start with an M (Makita and Milwaukee). i have makita 18v and my wife has the 12v compact set. both are great. i may even buy the makita lawn mower (already have the weedeater and love it). my brother and dad both love their milwaukee sets - and i would like to add the 12v milwaukee ratchet to my tool bag.
remember, warranties are great. but having a broken tool in the field is a HUGE pain even with a great warranty!
