It'll help some if you'll move those bolts about a foot away from the corners of your bed rails and only use one bolt per side on your toolbox, our work truck used to break and crack like that. Somewhere someone told another someone that bolting those headache rails and tool boxes with the bolts close weren't allowing the bed to flex properly, whatever was the cause moving the bolts away from the corner and not using as many at least slowed our breakouts if it didn't stop them.

The toolbox is inside the bed and the bolts are close to a foot away from the corner. That does make sense about the lack of flex since the shells are so thin on trucks nowadays... Hopefully I’ll get another 100k mikes before I have to mess with it again.
