Picked up a load from the taxidermist last night

After getting a call that our mounts were ready, my daughter and I ran out to Orange Grove yesterday to get our mounts. She’s been waiting on that Texas Dall like it’s Christmas morning ever since we dropped them off in January. I’ll take some more pictures once they’re up on the wall. (Not sure why they are showing up sideways)

That's awesome. How old was she when you introduced her to hunting? I am afraid I will ruin mine because I am a fanatical Hunter.

She was 4 when she starting going with me. It was hard as I had always liked getting in the blind early and hunting late. The biggest thing was just to make it fun. Started taking a lot of snacks, ipad with headphones, and a portable toilet. She’s now 8 and killed two Javelinas and the Texas Dall last year and has already picked out an eight point on camera for this year.

Did ya'll use an outfitter for the TX Dall? I would like to get my daughter on one.

Yes...I use him for all my taxidermy work. He’s a great guy to deal with.

Yes...all three animals were taken with Hensel Whitetail Ranch. Bobby Grieger is great to deal with. He even had a birthday cookie there for my daughter since it was her birthday that weekend.
