    Army worms in East Texas

Just thought I'd start something to maybe keep up with these devil worms. We have not planted yet because of last year. I had a friend of mine call me last night and they got him this week in Moscow.

It came a little shower last Saturday morning, on Sunday I went to the south end of my property to check a fence gap and noticed some green stalks on the ground. A few Army worms there and they had done stripped the leaves.

I would imagine when we get rain and things green up a little they will be in full force. I am holding back on planting till the end of October now.

I am south of Seguin by 30 miles near Pandora.

tell me about it. Was gonna mow last Thursday for a bit but couldn't get the bush hog hooked up by myself, think the tractor is low on hydro fluid. Saturday was family Bday, Sunday was plumbing the shop. This weekend kiddo has a 200 bird clay shoot and meeting septic engineer.

          I need 4 day weekends!

Our brand new baseball field in Wharton got hit yesterday. Luckily I think they got it sprayed before too much damage was done.

I am retired and I haven't planted yet. Haven't seen any armyworms but I have not seen anything for them to eat either. Come on rain!

It ain't dry anywhere in Liberty County!! That 30" we got 2 weeks ago ain't all soaked in yet!! Dang army worms would need a snorkel to have survived that little shower!

The planes, helicopters, and terragators are all out spraying this week for worms.

Ditto, as of today it's been 97 days since it rained on my place. For those who are wondering, that's June 28. It hasn't been this dry since 2009-2011 drought.
