Question about installing a perko switch

I may have bought the wrong thing, but I bought one off Amazon.

The problem: I have some after market lights that have a blue tooth module that drain my battery always looking to connect with another device.

The goal: to disconnect the single battery on my sxs so it quits draining the battery.

My question: do I simply connect the negative to one pole on the switch, and then a new wire from the other pole on the switch to the negative terminal on the battery? I'm electrically challenged to say the least.

Positive or negative doesn’t matter. Hook existing wire to switch and add new wire from switch to batt.

It was exactly that simple in my head, just wanted to make sure

Red to red or black to black. Doesn't matter which wire you choose. Had to put a perko on my boat. The Lowrance sonic hub and other full suite electronics as well as the motor diagnostics ckt would kill the battery in 2 weeks if not on a tender.
