Friend of mine lives in Houston - when this last big rain hit he was trying to drive home in high water - a truck blows by him and literally swamped his car - he was able to get off the road but car would not start. Around 2 feet of water ended up in his car and ruined the car.
Then the city drains near his home were getting stopped up and would not drain. He and another neighbor put on rain suits and got shovels and were on the side of the road shoveling stuff out of the drains so they could drain and help stop homes from flooding. He told me there were trucks driving by them going 20-30 mph and drenching them with water. He said some of the trucks were going so fast the water was going over their heads.
Who the hell would do that do somebody trying to helps others? Sad

It's maddening..Hell,it's everywhere..My Fiance is from Iowa.I swear that place is as close to Utopia,as I've ever seen..Some dude ran up on a girl yesterday, and started stabbing the **** out of her..If it can happen there,it can happen anywhere.

2. Rain suits are for TV reporters. Correct flood attire in Harris Co is some ratty shorts and some flip flops. If he wants to step up his game toss in a wifebeater t-shirt and a soaking wet cigarette for the cameras.
