    Synthetic Shingle ?

Any roofers have any experience or input on synthetic shingles? I see some are rated well against hail damage & up to 130 mph wind. What’s pros & cons? Easier or more challenging to install? Durable as they claim? Similar weight to surface area ratio compared to standard shingle? Hold up well in normal weathering? Thanks

    Synthetic Shingle ?

    Install similar to shingles
Cut with razor blade score and break
    Open valleys
Manufacturers are backing them well basically any issues they will handle for first 10 yrs
Seem to be more durable than shingles during install
    Downfall is the price.
Rep had us shoot balls of ice at it and it didn’t break its tough.
    F- wave was the product

      Remanufactured plastic.
Colors can fade drastically. (Installed a black one that faded to purple & gray)
Curling/lifting can and will occur. (Double sided tape is used to correct)
I installed one in a dove gray that has done very well. Davinci

How’s the cost comparison in terms of % more relative to standard shingle roughly?
