        hey HC,

i bet you learned how to catch those bull reds when living in The Berry (New Iberia )

I went fishing 2 weekends ago out of Cypremort Point and caught a few rat reds , specks, and flounder ............ I was thinking about you as we passed the Loreauville Rd exit

did you realize that TBH's very own Queen Mary once lived in NI

I didn't know she lived in NI, unreal........... LOL

I haven't been out of Cypremort Point in a couple of years now, I used t0 go with a buddy fo mine Scott, he had a 30' Grady White that he ran up on the rocks at the boat landing on a foggy morning down there.

I never caught any reds this size over there either, we caught all these out of Newport Launch area into Glav bay.

I may be over in the next couple of weeks, once the Mardi Gras settles, we will have too hook up and go for dinner. I stay in Lafayette when I am over.

I remember my Loreauville Rd days.......... I remember Marie Laveaux too .......... one of the reasons I don't come back any more than necessary. LOL

Junior no I don't guide, I know some good areas but have connections on the bay that do. Maybe I should get into guiding huh?

Looks like a boat load of fun except for that choppy water. How do you ever get over that? Guess I've just lived too far inland.

If you need someone to go with and share the cost of gas let me know. I love going offshore. I usually sit back and fish with a large 1-4lb live bait and watch others catch the little ones. Sometimes I get hungry and will reel in a snapper or two.

We caught a 100 lb wahoo a couple years back. That was fun. Really it was 95-96lbs but that was after it bled out and sat on ice for 3-4 hours.
