Great Bull! How much time did you spend scouting for your hunt? That's the only part about putting in for out of state draws that concerns me and not knowing the units and best place to set up camp etc.

I only scouted the day and a half before. However my father in law has hunted this exact area off and on for 20 years and I hunted it 8 years ago. So I knew there should be elk there. And boy was there, elk everywhere.

I actually met most of them but didn’t get the outfitters name. Usually just the first name of the guide. They may or may not be the doors or may just be trying hard to get their clients on an elk. It’s all part of hunting public land.

Also Even with the frustration of the guides it also told me I was in a good area if they guides were hunting it.
