    Adjustable Scope rings? Or Rail?

Ok, traded on here for a Marlin 2506 which shoots awesome. Traded a night scope for a high power scope. Mounted scope and I am having a problem I have never had before. Scope height is maxed out and I am still 9 inches low at 100 yards. I have read about shimming, some one told me about adjustable rail or rings. What’s the right, or good long term way to fix this. Thanks in advance.

Does it have a 20 moa rail mounted backwards? Might see if you can turn it around and see it that fixes it.

Well, rail is mounted correctly apparently.

Skinny end is towards the front. Fat end towards the back on the rail?

Yeah skinny front. Went ahead and put some scope ring lock washers under the rail in the mounting screws, fixed it right up. Wonder if it will stay?. They are locked down pretty good. My laser bore mount brought it to center at 50 yds. Gonna shoot tomm.
