Fishing/Bull reds in surf between Corpus/Port A

I'm going to be in Corpus for work for a couple days and was thinking about having my son come down Friday. He loves catching redfish--big ones! Any surf report for bulls down there? I looked online but didn't see much.

U will have better luck further north towards Galveston ..bull reds at least..

Yes you will find them in the surf in corpus but not near as easily as you will up the coast.

I would check the surf report and if it looks promising head south into PINS and try your luck in the wade guts. The redfish have moved out of the jetties by now and should be chasing the schools of finger mullet down there. Also can snag some huge mackerel in the surf this time of year with live finger mullet

It's PRIME TIME for the spawners to move into the surf to spawn, and this storm should get them going.
