I’m starting to lean towards the Royal Empress. Will probably be easier to tell in the spring when it blooms out again.

The empress trees I see around here don't look anything like that, they've got huge leaves shaped kinda like fig leaves (3 lobed). But the few I've seen came out of magazine sales add!

I was noticing that the closer I looked. It does look like I’ve got a couple of Empress trees coming on in the back. I’ve been intentionally mowing around them for the last month just to see what they do, and those leaves are about 2-3x the size of the leaf on the tree in question.

This exactly. I have a Royal Empress in my front yard and that's definitely it.

Cutting them makes them grow faster lol
