Here’s my .02.

Evil does not exist within a gun. It exists in the minds and hearts of those who pull the trigger for evil purposes.

With any gun controversy... I haven't heard any politician say how they plan to extract guns from criminals, just law abiding citizens.

My guns are no threat to anyone who isn't trying to deprive me or my family of life, liberty, or property. They are, however, extremely dangerous to anyone who does threaten it.

There are over 200+ million citizens with guns. 12 TRILLION rounds of ammo. If we were violent, you'd know it.

I prefer dangerous freedom over peaceful slavery.

Anyone who would try to fight off a group of armed men at their front door would be pretty foolish. There are far more effective ways to fight, and make anyone that chooses to enforce unconstitutional laws pay a price. But make no mistake, the Second Amendment is the only one made of steel. The rest are ink on paper. Bank accounts can go away with the stroke of a computer key. When the Second Amendment is lost, all the rest of the Constitution is lost at that very instant. So don't let it happen. "All enemies, both foreign and domestic" ought to mean something. To both civilians, law enforcement, and military.

So we have been having this debate recently but with a slightly different wrinkle.

Would you trade that right for something. Something the left feels strong about. Let’s say abortion. Would you be okay with high capacity magazine bans background checks waiting periods etc. the whole nine short of confiscation.

My argument is I have plenty of guns and nothing to hide. I don’t mind waiting for my newest. Personally to save innocent children I may lean further.

I brought this point up because a liberal friend of mine was taking the stance of gun control because he values human life far more than the 2nd amendment while being pro choice.

These are the people we are dealing with. Hypocrites that are too ignorant to realize how ridiculous they sound. These people are not to be negotiated with. You're playing Chess with a Pigeon.
