Its a draw system, but just looked, they have two units left with "left over" licenses.

No idea of cost or about those areas.

Okla has a OTC Bow season in Oct. there is some public land but it’s limited. The biologist Weston might know some leases

Then leftovers are for difficult access areas and would be hard to fill.
A little late for Wyoming. Buy a PP now for another year's application.
We have 2 options for applying; Regular draw $326 or Special draw $614
Special draw usually has better odds but not always.
Apply by May 31 next year.
Doe tags are cheap and a random draw.
I would buy a PP this year and apply for a good area next year, might draw in random part of draw but at least get a PP for another year.
Better areas take a few PP to draw, 3+.
Some choose to do a doe hunt til they draw a buck tag, you can get 2 doe tags in first draw and 2 more in leftover draw. A fishing combo or bird hunt combo work well with pronghorn hunt.

If interested in NM you can contact Tye with SW New Mexico Trophy Hunts and Properties. Tye is a great, honest guy and straight shooter. NM lope hunts are over for the year.

6 of us just got back from hunting with Tye. I have a thread floating around here with a few pics of our hunt.

              Good luck on your search.

Good synopsis ! The only thing that I would add is that you get three choices for hunt areas. Always make your first choice a hard to draw unit because you’re not gonna hunt/draw that one anyway, but you’ll get a preference point. Your chosen unit to hunt can be your second choice. You’re still gonna get that point even if you draw your second choice. Easy draws can be difficult access, private land. Eastern WY is rampant with lopes, but nearly all private ranches. If you want to bowhunt I can hook you up with a name and number. If rifle I’m no help. PM if you’re interested.

Oh, and just because Uncle Buck’s sister’s husband killed a lope and you ate some and didn’t like it doesn’t mean it isn’t good. I’ll eat it over venison every day. Good luck !
