Nope! I was going to apply for the GM position, but BOB said I was overqualified. Lol

Hey lets try something new. Let the trades play themselves out. I don’t like Obrian either, but these trades filled holes. They now have a top 5 LT, added depth to LB, added another Corner, a big RB and another serviceable receiver. They filled some holes and got rid of some dead weight that was only interested in himself.

If the trades fail miserably, BoB should be gone.

Ehh. Clowney wasn’t going to play again for the Texans. They weren’t going to pay him big money, and he’s not the is a superstar. Decent pass rusher and good run stopper who has an injury history. At least they were able to get something, there was a good chance they would have ended up just letting him go. The two firsts for Tunsil is a lot, but if it works out then who cares. Their first round pick next year was going to be a lineman, so if you can put a guy in there that is proven, then you’ve really only given up one draft pick for a for sure thing.

Sure seems like BOB got his panties in a wad cause Clowney wasnt playing nice with his new GM role. Found first trade he could to get rid of him, and betting the farm on this season. If we had nearly any other head coach, or a head coach who could get an OC to run offense, we'd be fine. We have tons of talent compared to other teams. We'll see how it works out

#1 pick..Mario Williams gone after rookie contract
                    Clowney...gone in 4 years....4 injury riddled years

I don't blame guys for wanting to get paid.....but most of them produce on the field first.....

This joker has been the least productive #1 pick since Ryan Leaf.....might be a tie

Are you serious? Clowney is a 3 time pro bowler. He missed 15 games total in his first 2 years, and only 3 the last 3 years.

While I agree, someone is about to overpay, he’s not trash. We actually got something for him when he was going to walk. BoB did the right thing IMO.

There’s no telling how these trades are going to work out but we did address SERIOUS needs. We have more depth on the defensive line, got a Lamar Miller type RB, a corner and one of the best YOUNG tackles in the game. Plus, we got a complimentary WR to step in when Coutee or Fuller get hurt.

All-in-all, it cost a lot. But, how many 1st round picks don’t pan out. You know what you’re getting with Stills and Tunsil.

I agree with you but the devil is always in the details. Tunsil is only under contract for 2 years. The Texans aren't going to want to pay the guy. Now maybe they are thinking with the injuries he's had they can either renegotiate Watts contract or he will retire but I doubt it. Plus, they are gambling that Tunsil will want to stay. They gave up a lot for only 2 years.

It gets worse. Texans paid Clowney an extra $7 million to do the deal. What a joke

Didn’t proof read lol. Fat fingered ***deserved***

O’Brien must have been given point blank ultimatems bc he made some bold moves. The tunsil trade was needed after botching the draft. Howard needs time and O’Brien won’t have any if he didn’t fix LT. good move. The clowney trade was just getting value rather than getting nothing. If he’s worth a 3rd round comp pic; that’s one signed free agent from getting nothing. I don’t like the trade but I don’t dislike it either. Clowney is not worth the contract he’s going to get.

There is mutual interest in a contract extension but tunsil has elected to let the market continue to increase before signing an extension. He’s betting on himself basically.

Does that mean that Tunsil could be in Houston 1 year & leave to the highest bidder next year? How long is his current contract?

I’m sure he’s on a 4 plus 1 year for team option then 2 franchise tag years could follow.

The Texans will pay an OT before they pay a DE.
