Looks like the river by our place. We’re about 10 miles west of Menard,

We are lucky enough to be fairly close to the Nueces River so we do chill in the water on hot days. Sure wish we had a swimming pool/cistern at camp.

Covered patio with live college football is one of our best amenities. We may add a beer cooler (like you see in convenient stores) in the near future.

Our cisterns have a foot or two of algae in them. Will chlorine tablets kill it or can y'all recommend something else? The water still has to be drinkable to cattle and deer.
