Help me set up my hunting trailer....

I picked up a 6x12 enclosed trailer to make a hunting wagon out of. Its a blank slate to make it how I see fit. I was planning on making a removable bunk bed in the back of it, and build a countertop and shelf system in the v-nose of it. I'm going to get two of the 2x4' folding tables, one for the inside and one for the outside, to use as counter space. Got a bunch of hooks to mount to the wall for misc. What else am I missing? Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Brice

i don't think i would go with a removable bunk bed,,, going to take up a whole lot of space all the time,,, make a fold down bunk from the wall,, you can put hooks in the bottom of it to hang things while it is folding up against the wall and virtually loose no space until you need the bed,,, I would do an inside table the same way,, also you could build a false floor from 6-10" deep with hinged lids to store things underneath but still inside.....

Get an AC, a bed, and spend a few nights at the lease with it to figure out what else you could possibly want/need.

There was a trailer posted on here that sounds similar to this. Let me see if I can find it. It was decked out decently

Edit: This was the one I was thinking of. Bit bigger than yours https://discussions.texasbowhunter.c...closed+trailer

Just a reminder, no propane heaters unless it’s vented.

1st insulate it! Then install an AC, then find a very small space heater with thermostat and remote control.

The rest can be figured out on the fly.

Long time ago I had a buddy that loaned me his wells cargo car hauler
He had taken diamond plate and made some fold down beds ( connected to the wall by bolted in hinges and heavy coated wire cables bracing on each end ) they had thick foam mattress , it had a fold down table made in the same manner, and a RV AC/ heat pump, he had made a fold down table up front with a portable Colman’s stove, sink was a molded utility sink from home depot plumped to a 110 volt on demand water heater , every thing folded up against the walls and
He would drop the ramp and drive his Jeep in and was much slicker then a RV
It needed some ventilation so he cut and install some roof vents
It even had a satellite dish placed on a pole
Insulation was 1/2 inch cello tech connected with 3M stick on Velcro
Hope to make me one someday it was super easy to setup
                And I hope this helps

Here are a few pics of mine, I use it for work every day so it’s all a temporary setup. I need to post a write up of the mods and electrical system, several people have been interested on other sites.

We had some bunks similar to these in our old race trailer. You can build them yourself if you're handy. Can order Foam Mattresses on Amazon pretty cheap too.

those nylon hiking hammocks are comfortable and take up nearly zero space.

I bought some camping trailer windows for mine, and a 12 V powered roof vent, so I can sleep in it off-grid in warm weather. I have a deep-cycle battery and solar panel to power the fan and lights. I haven't done it yet, but I thought that, with the windows, I could use it as a portable hunting blind some time.

Small futons work great for combo sleeping/sitting and eating or other things area. Surprisingly comfortable as well.

Inside and outside LED lighting is handy.
