Japanese Women’s Patriotic League Metal I believe but I have never seen one with the obverse writing in a pure vertical arrangement like that.

There were quite a few different medals that they handed out to help prepare folks for the upcoming American invasion. Maybe we have someone on the GS that can read the back.

This one has a similar inscription on the back, and there is a short history of that organization on it as well. The medal here is a bit more ornate, but all the symbols are there, just in color.
