The anthrax vectors is a bit outside of my wheelhouse (I'm more into the management side of everything rather than the biology side). I'm trying to focus on consolidating new scientific methods/discoveries into accessible and understandable practices that can be implemented by people who may not have the scientific or management background in the area.

Accumulation of toxins in plants near polluted water could be a good topic but might already have some research into it, I'd have to look. It would probably end up being a joint paper with an ecohydrologist but could have some pretty far reaching impacts.

Keep the ideas coming these are great!
I think deer can be darted with the anthrax vaccine. I spoke with a man who manages a very large ranch in my county about anthrax recently and he mentioned that they dart as many of their animals as they can.

Someone started a thread last night asking for experts on a certain.......topic. That would be a research topic that could be fun for you and beneficial to everyone that reads it.

Yea it would just be a matter of figuring out how to do cost effectively on a large scale.

Yes, and I think it takes 2 doses to be most effective, so you'd have to keep track of who was darted the first go-round too.

Exactly. Definitely an interesting topic that would have huge impacts if/when it gets figured out.

Something around current snake populations and the environmental impact of people killing every snake they come across.

If soy feed and soy protein fed to deer transfers to humans with soy sensitivity. (I have first hand seen this with a fellow TBHers son who does not get soy (uber sensitive and strict diet) but was showing signs of soy protein transference from chicken eating soy to mother eating eggs from chicken eating soy fed chicken eggs to breast feeding son...who under went fecal testing and found soy protein when none in his direct diet.)

Additionally or alternatively...same with gluten for deer eating wheat...winter wheat...and transference to people sensitive of gluten.

                There is your doctorate.

Analyze the pigeon crap that covers most of the shopping carts (where people place food and small children!) at the HEB in Tomball to see what harmful viruses and bacteria it contains.

Anthrax. I hear about the spores on the ground. What I don't hear is how widespread they are. On a 100 acre pasture are they everywhere? Or just in a little 10 square foot area where any animal that wonders thru contracts anthrax?

Also the real benefit of burning infected animals. The spores are still on the property!

I'm just venting. I would do like the above poster said and do a study on fake blobs.
