Best Camo For the Piney Woods

So I’m curious about opinions on the best Camo pattern for the Pineywoods in the fall.

I know many a deer has fallen to red flannel and blue jean clad hunters.

I’m just curious as to what Camo pattern matches the best.

I’ve always liked the RealTree patterns, but lately I’ve noticed that it is predominately brown, with highlights, if you will, of green pine needles.

I’m not asking what pattern I should buy, just curious of the opinions of other bow hunters. Maybe your opinions will open my eyes to something I’m not aware of, or may not know of.

    Thanks
    Grumpy

My personal favorite since it was introduced many years ago is Mossy Oak Obsession-Green.

Hunting from a truck with a spotlight.....probably a Hank Jr concert shirt will look best in your booking photo

If you want camo to actually work on your side, skip the mainstream printed leaf and limb patterns and go to an open pattern like what Predator, Sitka, First Lite and the like have to offer. It’s really the only way to break up the human outline. That’s the main goal anyway. If you don’t be still, it won’t matter what you’re wearing, but a good open pattern up in a tree might mean the difference of a deer spotting you and looking through you or spotting you and bolting.
