Nothing "budget" about the E1, still $300 compared to spypoints $115 micro link at academy.

Personally have a code black AT&T covert, impressed with it so far.

I know Covert just came out with a budget cell camera, the E1, meant to compete with Spypoint and other value cell cameras.

I tried the Spypoint. Very very easy set up. Could not get a signal. Pics average to below average.

Bought the Cubbeback. Got a signal and so far so good. I give it both thumbs up.

I use the Arlo security with ATT. Have (5) of them out now. Expensive but works great, web based, live feed (which I love), motion video. Had issues with the batteries dying but one of my buddies devised a bigger solar panel and battery and no issues since. I check it every morning and it's like Christmas in August.

Do not waste your money on bad cameras that have mixed reviews. Made that mistake bc I wanted to "save".

Do it right the first time and buy a Spartan. They aren't that much more and definitely worth it.

Just pulled the trigger and bought a Spartan. In the past I've been burned trying to save and I've always ended up having to go buy the expensive, quality product in the long run. Hope it works well!

Do you get good service where they will be setup? I had problems with my spypoint. I have no service where spartan is up and it still works like a charm whenever I am away.

                      Spypoints suck. Never again.

I've been running the same 3 snypers for several years.
Once they're set-up and working they work pretty good and take really good quality pictures.
AT&T has jacked with the service from time to time which causes issues but like most other brands they want you to only use their app which negates most of the problems I've encountered with the phone company.
Also they don't let you command a picture like some of the higher end cameras.

Whatever you run be sure to set it up with solar also. Cell cams chew through batteries.

I have a Spypoint link dark. I've had it out almost a year. I get 70-120 pictures every morning. I did have to buy the external antenna. I love the camera.

Yes I have the Cuddeback. I also have another camera linked to the "home" camera. Been out for a couple of weeks in an area with highly questionable cell service. So far so good.

I tried the Spypoint with a long-range cell antenna on a pole, etc. Could not get it to hook up to cell service. I will say that Spypoint has the better set-up and interface.
