    East Tx up and comer

This was taken off a game camera about a month ago on my east Tx lease on the north side of Sam Rayburn. Several of us put him at 2 and by hunting season he’ll be 2.5 (sorry, I had to do it). There is only one person on the lease that will shoot him if he sees him but everybody else is going to give him a pass for a couple of years. What do y’all think. The last picture is who we think might be his dad. Picture taken in same area.

What do I think? I think that if everyone agrees to let it walk, then whichever of your lease members shoots that deer as a 2 year old ought to find another place to hunt. The genes a deer like that would spread could change a place for years if managed well. Great young deer.

I'm with Curt. I'd love to let him live for a few years and spread those genes. I know that our close group would agree but I doubt he'd survive beyond that.

Any mgmt minded hunter would let that deer walk, and if there’s 1 brown and down in the group then it probably won’t last long because if he shoots that deer somebody will be mad.

That will be a GREAT deer when he's mature.

I’d say some certain someone on the lease needs to find a new place to hunt!

Not exactly sure what he scored but he was a toad. I’ll post more pictures of him

That’s a good looking buck, I think y’all have him a little younger than he is but the decision to let him walk is a good one regardless. Those are some genes you want to get out there for sure.
