Any way to find out why car has rebuilt title??

Looking at a 2014 Toyota Camry for my daughter and seller disclosed it as a rebuilt title because of hail damage...He bought it after it was repaired from a dealer so that's what the salesman told him...any way to check that and make sure it wasn't wrecked or flooded out??

Your insurance agent might be able to tell you. You will probably need a vin #...

I know our insurance person will run a "clue" report for any previous claims on houses our clients are thinking of making an offer on to see if there are any previous claims. Not sure but they may be able to do the same thing for vehicles.

didn't know if carfax would tell me the details of the title or not...never done one. I just txt my insurance agent to see if he can find out! Thanks for the tips!

yes, the owner bought it from the dealer that fixed it and that's what they told him...seems like that would have to be a whole LOT of hail damage for a 2014 camry to total it

I was just at a dealership and they showed me the Carfax and Autocheck on the car I was looking at. They both told me a lot. They both had tons of information of the history of the car. It even showed me that the car was used as a rental for the first year of it's life. That's when I walked.
