Lakeview, Texas is where we will be throwing it down for the next 4-5 days!! Left East Texas about 2:45 which should put us in camp around 8:45!!

My first sit of the season will be tomorrow morning and I wouldn't miss it. I've had some incredible hunts on weather just like what we're expecting in the morning.

Just to follow up, I was very uncharacteristically late getting to the stand last Thursday morning due to my oversleeping and got to the stand about daybreak. Sat for about an hour and a horse of a muley doe sneaks in and beds down at 20 yards. I watched her lay there for an hour or so and chew her cud, during which I decided I would take her if she gave me a shot when she stood up. Well she did, and I did, and she's now in the freezer.

I talked to my buddy yesterday and we picked up another piece of property in north Collingsworth Co so it looks like I have another PH Tag! He's been getting ready for hunters and glassing the fields, word is it's been stupid for the amount of deer and new bucks showing. Good luck to everyone for the general opener!

I had this guy at 15 yards last night. They are definitely starting to move better. Well except so far this AM.

Hunted Friday and just does, fawns and a up and comer busted 8. ABSOLUTELY nothing this morning so far. Only heard one shot way off. Very disappointing so far.
Good thing is we are seeing way more does and fawns this year. Hopefully the does will bring in the big bucks!

Lots of animals moving, even with the full moon.
Deer emptied 1500 lb. feeder in less than 3 weeks.
Still bachelored up.
