Any recommendations if a scope is needed for this rifle?

I have a BSA Sweet .17 on my .17HMR. I know a lot of people bash BSA but I have two and have never had any problems with them.

I have a sweet .22 on my 22 mag and its been a great scope. Its been very accurate for what I have used it for.

We put a Redfield Revolution 2-7x33 with Accu Range reticle on ours. Surprisingly accurate out past 300 yds.

Are you asking if a scope is needed or for scope recommendations if a scope is needed?

I got to shoot a golden boy .22 last year and it had some of the better open sights I've shot in a while. I'd avoid scoping for as long as possible

I use Konus scopes.

I put a Bushnell AR 4.5-18X40 scope on my 17 it’s a bit overkill but I like to have as much magnification as possible. Scope was like $180
