    An inexpensive gadget from Academy.

Around $5. Even if it sucks I ain't out much.
I tried the carpet blade for the utility knife and it just seems to cut a little bit and rip out. It may take a knack. I want to see how well this works. It has a dull section on it that might keep it from pulling out so easily.
Oh, and it comes with a little case too.

Looks like it should do the trick.

Hopefully I'll be using it to skin my daughter black bear this fall.

Looks like it may work. I use a utility knife carpet blade . It takes a little getting use to. But I can have the hide off a deer in a couple minutes..

I've had one for a few years now. Works pretty good as long as you don't rotate your hand and turn the sharp end towards the intestines. Learned that the hard way

I use a utility knife with the replaceable hook blades. I used them in the flooring industry. It works good.

I use one and have given several as gifts. They are cheap but work well.

I bought one 4 years ago. And have used it on deer and pigs. It works as designed to. Well worth the money if you have to pack stuff in and out like I do, and are concerned about total carrying weight.
