    Done for the day

Mowing/bushogging some trails around through the woods back behind the house this morning and hit a yellowjacket nest. Got popped twice. Oh well I'll go around on another trail and work my way back toward the house that way. Found another nest, or they found me. Had 4-5 up my pants leg. Eventually got to the house, parked the tractor, and decided that this wasn't the day for mowing.

Ouch. Take care of those stings bud. I've had my share of bee/wasp stings. I used to be allergic but my allergy to bee stings has gone away.

I went to get a thing off my doorknob a few weeks ago, and got nailed on my neck. It hurt like h e l l , and quickly got the wasp spray and took care of them.

You can bet on that. I'll let them get all settled down and deal them misery this evening. Don't want the grandkids or anyone else stumbling into them.

Yellow Jackets? Nest in the ground that you ran over? If so, and you can find it this evening right at dark, just throw a cup full of gasoline on the entrance... They'll die right in the ground... Works for bumble bees too.. Does NOT work for honey bees!! Just pizzes off honey bees...

Sometimes we have to mow areas that have low hanging tree limbs with a cabless tractor or one that just has a canopy. The bumble bees are relentless in finding you if you hang around.
