X2. The storage place I rent from actually suggested this same lock. She said they are great locks. She went on to say that they actually hate them because when they have to break into a locked unit they are the hardest lock to cut thru.

My brother is a slum lord and he said those locks above are pretty easy to cut through with a cordless dremel. Try to get one that completely covers the lock.

Listen to Lockpro and check out his link.

There's not a Masterlock I can't pick/bypass within 60 seconds....including the Masterlock No. 40 shown in the pic above. (No, I'm not a criminal) I do ADC work on the side for dozens of ranches covering over a million acres and you never know when a rancher is going to forget to tell you that he's changed locks or an oilfield worker or oil/water hauler has locked his company's lock onto the chain on the gate in a way that you have to unlock their lock to get the lock open). I'd rather pick a lock in a few seconds and re-lock it after getting in/out vs. ruining somebody's lock with bolt cutters or having to take part of the fence down.

Pay a little extra and guy a good quality lock like the one in the link. You'll be glad you did. Also...don't equate cost with value. There are a lot of expensive locks out there that aren't worth pennies with it comes to picking it.

              Take care,

As far as being unpickable "Abloy" is hands down winner. Lock picks don't work because there is nothing to pick inside. It uses sliding disks instead. Lock at PL362 & PL342.

ABLOY offers security and locking innovations dedicated to creating more trust in the world.

A disk detainer pick will pick your Abloy disk locks, but you're right that it isn't as simple as most tumbler & pin type locks. They are definitely nice locks.
