The Astros paid a heavy prospect price for Greinke, but Steve Gilbert of MLB.com reported the Diamondbacks are picking up two-thirds of the veteran's remaining contract to balance the scales.

He is owed 77 till end of 2021. Az is throwing in 24. We owe 53 divided by 2.3 years. Get a different internet 😂

Wrong. 24 of the 77 million owed him. I figure that’s about $23 million per out of Stros pocket


Astros number 3,4,5,22 prospects. Pretty high price, but worth it

Absolutely worth it! Remember Jonathan Singleton? Yeah, he was a high prospect too.

“Good prospects not likely to impact the big club” is a good problem to have to begin with.

That rotation should be scary moving forward, especially when they get some bats back.

When your pitching holds them to 0, 2 is 1 more than you need.

Anything less than +5 going into 7th still makes me nervous as a cat in the alley behind a chinese food resturant with most of the relievers in place currently.. that and with the roster as it stands..should be way higher.. leaving men on base wont cut it deeper into september/october
