Recommendations for Mule Deer/ Aoudad hunting access

Anybody have good experiences/recommendations for properties that have allowed hunting for mule deer or aoudad for a hunting access/trespass fee? I don’t have the wallet girth for a $5k guided hunt on a trophy property. My dad and I found a place outside Shafter a few years back that allowed hunting access for 3 days’ Aoudad hunting on 2500 low-fence acres for $1000, but I would love to see some new country. Any recommendations are appreciated.

I’ll bet that’s a tough hunt and more like looking for a needle in a haystack.

Exactly. I appreciate that NM recommendation. I didn’t realize they had OTC tags for Aoudad. However, my dad is 65 and while he’s spry enough to climb the hills, he’s grouchy about other hunters.

Mostly just looking for land access. Neither one of us care about downing a trophy. Just a low fence property with some animals that allows hunting. Again, any recommendations are appreciated.
