Yeah, some people grow up in the city, and they don't have dads, Uncles, grandpa's, uncles, friends with leases and high fence ranches, not everybody gets to do everything we do.

This reminds me of my sons first experience of west Texas. He was 12 or 13 and I was taking him to a 4-H camp in Monahans. We came out of the hill country and hit the flat lands before San Angelo. He said dad I’m scared. I asked why? He replied, I can see forever. We still get a chuckle about that.

All my brothers and sisters were born in the metropolis jungle of Houston. Of all them, I was the only one who had a passion for everything outdoors! Hunting, fishing, camping, etc. After finding my dream property 5 years ago, my brother wanted to see what this was all about. We went dove hunting and even though the doves weren't cooperative, he was absolutely hooked. We got 10 dove total between us, but you would have sworn we limited out he was so excited. That night we cooked the doves on an open fire watching the stars and listening to a symphony of crickets, frogs and the occasional coyote. He told me, "I finally understand your passion for the outdoors." He's been my best hunting partner since. Now we just need to convince my other brothers and sisters...
