          This reminds me of my sons first experience of west Texas. He was 12 or 13 and I was taking him to a 4-H camp in Monahans. We came out of the hill country and hit the flat lands before San Angelo. He said dad I’m scared. I asked why? He replied, I can see forever. We still get a chuckle about that.

That night we cooked the doves on an open fire watching the stars and listening to a symphony of crickets, frogs and the occasional coyote. He told me, "I finally understand your passion for the outdoors." He's been my best hunting partner since. Now we just need to convince my other brothers and sisters...
